PartsBroz (“PartsBroz,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website at partsbroz.com and an internal application that integrates with our Amazon selling account through the Amazon Selling Partner API (SP-API). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we store and protect it, who we share it with, and how long we keep it.
This policy covers two categories of information: (1) information from visitors to partsbroz.com, and (2) Amazon order and customer information that we process to fulfill orders placed through Amazon marketplaces.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Website visitors
When you visit partsbroz.com, we may collect basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and pages viewed. This is used to operate, secure, and improve the website.
1.2 Amazon order and customer information
As an Amazon seller, we receive and process information related to orders placed by Amazon customers. Depending on the order, this may include:
- Order identifiers, order status, purchase dates, and order totals
- Product details such as item names, SKUs, and quantities
- Customer name and shipping address
- Other information necessary to fulfill and ship an order
We obtain this information directly from Amazon through the Selling Partner API and only for orders associated with our own seller account. We do not purchase or obtain this information from third parties.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect only for legitimate business purposes, including:
- Receiving and processing Amazon orders
- Generating shipping labels and shipping orders directly to customers
- Managing inventory and order fulfillment
- Maintaining records required for accounting, tax, and compliance
- Operating, securing, and improving our systems and website
We use Amazon customer information (including personally identifiable information, or “PII”) solely to fulfill the associated order. We do not use it for marketing, advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to order fulfillment.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.
We share information only where necessary to fulfill orders and operate our business, namely with:
- Shipping carriers, to deliver orders to customers
- Service providers (such as cloud hosting and infrastructure providers) that process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations
- Authorities or regulators, where required by law
We do not share Amazon customer PII with any party except as strictly required to ship the order or as required by law.
4. Data Storage and Security
We apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include:
- Encryption in transit using current TLS standards
- Encryption at rest for stored personal information using industry-standard algorithms (AES-256), with managed key management
- Access controls that restrict access to Amazon information to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis, with unique individual accounts and multi-factor authentication for administrative access
- Network protection, with databases and internal systems hosted on managed cloud infrastructure in private networking and not exposed to the public internet
- Logging and monitoring of access to systems that handle Amazon information, with alerting on anomalous activity
- Secret management, with credentials stored in a dedicated secrets manager and never embedded in source code or repositories
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect information using reasonable and appropriate measures.
5. Data Retention and Disposal
We retain Amazon customer personally identifiable information only as long as necessary to fulfill the order and meet legal or regulatory obligations. As a standard practice, we retain customer PII for no longer than 30 days after order shipment, after which it is deleted or anonymized, except where a longer retention period is required by law (for example, tax or financial records).
Non-personal order data (such as SKUs, quantities, and order status) may be retained longer for inventory, accounting, and analytics purposes.
6. Data Breach and Incident Response
We maintain an incident response process to detect, contain, assess, and remediate security incidents. In the event of a data breach affecting personal information, we will investigate, take corrective action, and notify affected parties and relevant authorities — including Amazon — as required by applicable law and our agreements.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your data. Because order and customer information originates from Amazon, requests relating to an Amazon purchase may also be directed to Amazon. To exercise any rights with us, contact us using the details below.
8. Children’s Privacy
Our website and services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. International Data
Information may be processed and stored in countries other than where you reside. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be posted on this page.
